The competition is conducted for two days, one for the individual competition and one for the team competition. The individual competition consist of short answer questions, multiple choice questions, and long answer questions. Each student chooses either Mathematics or Science problems.

The team competition consist of Science Experiment Problems, Mathematics Exploration Problems, and mixed Mathematics and Science Investigation. The time allotted for solving the problem should not more than three and half (3.5) hours for each day.

When solving the experiment/exploration problems the contestants may wake use of non- programmable pocket calculators. These aids will be brought by the student themselves. The problems are constructed based on math and science curriculum (see below for the list of possible topics) which test logic, reasoning, and creative problem solving abilities.
